Peter Barker

SVP, Engineering

Peter leads Engineering and R&D at Good Technology, bringing more than 20 years of operations and IT management experience to the company. He joined Good Technology in January 2006 and was General Manager leading to the acquisition by Visto. Prior to leading the Engineering team, Peter headed worldwide operations teams in the areas of NOC and IT operations, technical support, business process engineering, order to cash, and customer service.

Prior to joining Good, Peter was VP of Systems Development for FedEx Office responsible for real-time systems supporting over 1,300 retail locations generating hundreds of millions of transactions annually, and all systems supporting the corporate back office and data warehouse. During his nine years with FedEx Office, Peter served as VP overseeing a variety of IT functions, including network and system engineering, data center operations, database administration, quality assurance, and technical support.

Peter also spent eight years at Fluid Kinetics, an industrial manufacturing division of IMI Corporation, where he managed the MIS department responsible for automating manufacturing utilizing CAD/CAM, mechanical engineering design of the company's products, and all back-office functions. Notably, he developed a proprietary product sizing algorithm which enabled significant market share capture and margin growth by streamlining the design of complex products.

Peter has a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
